I was born and raised in the city of Passo Fundo, located in the southernmost state of Brazil, called Rio Grande do Sul. Those born in this state are known as gaúchos, spanish for cowboys. This gives a hint of the importance of cattle-rearing to the state's history. Gaúchos from south Brazil share a lot of culture with Argentina and Uruguay, specially the passion for barbecue and yerba mate.

From time to time I remember to upload few pictures taken during trips to my Picasa Web.

    • Music, specially old and classic Rock & Roll. I own and play a handcrafted Eastman acoustic guitar.

    • Books. Among my favorite authors are Richard Dawkins, Douglas Adams and J. R. R. Tolkien.

    • Cooking, even if it is only for me. I enjoy trying recipes from renowned chefs such as Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver.

  • Football, the one that you play with your foot. I am a supporter of Grêmio.

    • Tennis. I am right-handed and forehand and first service are my strongest (beware).
